My friend Brendon arrived at mine last night at around 8.30 p.m., and we stayed up late chatting. After this I was energised somewhat so didn’t get to sleep until about 3.00 a.m. With Brendon staying the night on my sofa I really knew I wouldn’t be getting much done today, and once he had left I didn’t settle down to work until 11.15 a.m. It’s Good Friday, and despite bank holidays being transient to me now I am self-employed once again, I decided to actually enjoy this one.
Somehow, after weeks of near-constant panic, I will make the deadline for version one. I am bewildered as to how this actually happened, but the weekends and all-nighters I put in certainly helped. Version one is done, and I am relief in human form. I rattled off the documentation that Kris had requested in yesterday’s phone conference, then took the rest of the day off.
I missed lunch, and went out on my bicycle, to once again enjoy the sunshine. Life is good again.
